Operation Manna: food from the Lancasters

Between 29 April and 7 May 1945, Bomber Command Lancasters dropped thousands of tonnes of food at low level over the still-occupied Netherlands under a truce agreed with German forces, relieving the Dutch «Hunger Winter» famine.
