The Czech Republic signs the letter of acceptance for 24 F-35A

The Czech Republic signed the letter of offer and acceptance for twenty-four F-35As, replacing the leased Swedish Gripens it had been operating. With the signature, Prague joined the group of Lightning II operators, with first deliveries scheduled for the end of the decade. The contract was worth around 6.5 billion dollars.
