IFT-7: Block 2 debut and loss of the ship

Seventh flight test, the first launch of the Block 2 configuration (Booster 14 and Ship 33, the first upper-stage vehicle of this generation). The booster is caught again by the tower, but the ship suffers a cascade of engine shutdowns during ascent and contact is lost at 146 km altitude; about three minutes later, Ship 33 explodes over the Turks and Caicos Islands, scattering debris across the Caribbean and Puerto Rico. The FAA orders a mishap investigation and grounds Starship until it concludes.
