Belgium's first F-35A arrives at Florennes

The first F-35A of the Belgian Air Component landed at Florennes air base in the province of Namur after the ferry flight from the United States. Belgium had selected the Lightning II in 2018 with an order for thirty-four aircraft to relieve its F-16s in NATO air policing and nuclear sharing roles. The official welcome ceremony was held the following day.
