September 23, 2016

An F-35A of the 61st Fighter Squadron, deployed from Luke Air Force Base, caught fire on the ground while preparing for take-off at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. The pilot ejected and suffered minor injuries. The cause was a misrouted battery cooling duct that vented hot air into the weapons bay.
