PBJ-1 was the designation under which the US Navy and Marine Corps operated the B-25, corresponding to the C, D, G, H and J variants under naval nomenclature (PBJ-1C/D/G/H/J). About 706 aircraft were transferred or built for Marine bombing squadrons (VMB), which used them for anti-submarine and strike missions in the Pacific.
